My "long-time" readers know I like to play games every so often. We've done everything from play "Family Feud" to photo riddles to writing short stories inspired by songs. I've taken a pretty long break from the games but now it is back!
The inspiration for this game was two-fold. First, on Friday I posted my little mixed-up William Carlos Williams poem about how I ate my Little One's leftover birthday cake. That post prompted my friend Michael5000 to forward me his own mixed-up version of the poem. (He wrote the poem with a male friend. I guess this is what dork guys do when alone and unsupervised! And I'm not being mean calling him a dork. His blog says it strives to be a leader in dork culture.) Naturally, I wondered what else could be done with this poem. So let's find out!
First, here is the original William Carlos Williams poem.
This Is Just To Say
I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox
and which
you were probably
saving for
breakfast
Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold
Now here is my friend Michael5000's R-rated version of the poem, which is a bit raunchy but completely hilarious. (If you are easily offended, you might not want to continue on.)
I have lain
the woman
who was in
the guestroom
and whom
you were probably
keeping
away from me
Forgive me.
She was delicious
so sweet
and so tight.
